Jose Luis Perez, has dedicated over 45 years of his working
life to the Film Industry or so called ‘Seventh Art’. Throughout these years his
passion and experience has served both cinema and television as well as undertaking actual teaching
and mentorships in existing make-up academies. Having taught the skill of
make-up science at various institutions he has also been witness to the serious deficiencies that he believes exists in many of them. He feels that enthusiastic and willing students can too often be disadvantaged and misled, and are not given the level of knowledge and skills actually required of make-up artists to successfully gain employment in the demanding environment of contemporary film and television.

In order to maintain and preserve the enthusiasm of students and our future professionals, Jose proposes a new and
exciting approach to the tuition of Makeup Artistry and Design. Learning the
art should be as honest, scientific and comprehensive as it is innovative. In
what is an extremely diverse and inspirational profession, he proposes to work
towards creating a true Professional Lineage.
